"City Snapshots: Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration" placed FIRST in the Community Event Coverage category. "FC Cafe" placed SECOND in the Interview/Talk Show category. "City Council Recap" placed THIRD in the Community Awareness category. The "fostercity.tv" Website, along with "FCTV NewsBrief" were given Honorary Mentions.

Winners were announced at the NATOA Government Programming Awards on Friday, October 2nd 2009 in New Orleans, LA. 

   Green Footprint, a fresh and practical Foster City TV original production, features eco-trends to help consumers recognize and understand a variety of environmental and sustainability efforts, so they can make informed choices for themselves and their home.  Acting as a change agent for healthier habits, this home-grown show promotes and encourages more simple and conscious living. Each episode will focus on green alternatives to minimize negative environmental effects, and offer sustainable solutions to get there. Geared toward consumer education, Green Footprint, showcases methods to conserve and reduce consumption, gives tips on best practices in the home, and suggests options in making minor, or noticeable changes for the better.

     Lakes, mountains, villages and temples - these destinations offer unforgettable experiences to any traveler.  Visiting these locations as a traveling student delivers a distinctively different adventure.  Two UC Berkeley students take on a "multi-destination" itinerary through Shandong Province together with eleven Shandong University students.  Each stop along the way will bring them learning opportunities through impromptu classes with their peers.  They will observe China through the eyes of their new-found friends.

    Journey with these young people as they visit Mount Tai, one of the most climbed mountains on Earth; The Confucious Temple, where the memory of his teachings live on; and a village in Wei Fang - still popular for kite production.  See how Nick and Courtney's adventure unfolds.

     When you gaze at your garden, is it radiant with fresh blossoms and pruned flora...the kind you’ve always dreamed of? Or does your landscaping project show signs of abandonment as it rests near the recycling repository you call your garden shed?

     Foster City Television thinks a little help with plants couldn’t hurt anyone,...even getting your hands dirty will pay off. Down To Earth, a half-hour program hosted by the award winning horticulturist Tom Piergrossi, will offer sensible tips and instructions on ways to make a garden with “punctuation”. He will suggest drought tolerant landscapes, recommend handy gardening tools, and unearth some clear-cut science on horticulture.

     Avoid expensive experiments and learn from a pro to cultivate beauty and welcome relaxation into your garden.
